About the Merge PDF online services

Through the years, the creators of this service have often faced the situation where it would be beneficial to combine PDF documents. One way of doing it would be by downloading some shareware software or even purchasing something cheap. There are a few problems and limitations with that:

Cost: most of these applications cost money
Portability: most of the apps I've come across run on MS Windows only
Access levels: you don't always have administrator rights. Then a web app would be better.
Simplicity: a number of services are offering sophisticated PDF editors and manipulators. Sometimes just want something neat and simple. When you just need to merge PDF documents, there is nothing neater than a simple service that does just that.
Maintenance: when you have a GUI application you have to install the software on each machine you want to use it, then upgrade it when a new version is available. At mergepdf.net we do all this for you and it's totally free, although we of course don't mind a donation :-).

Although this service is free, we take security of data very seriously. The uploaded files and the resulting files (the merged ones) are removed after they have been downloaded. The only thing that is not safe in itself is the data transfer as we are not transferring through SSL. If our users send us an email requesting SSL, we will happily address that and provide upload over https.
